We are so excited to introduce you to this art form that we are so passionate about!

Now, we want to take a moment to put your fears and anxieties to rest. Everyone in Intro to Pole is a beginner just like you! It doesn’t matter if you have never done a push-up in your life or if you claim to have no upper body strength. It also doesn’t matter if you are a plus size queen, differently abled, or needing extra accessibility. There are no physical requirements to begin, and our team of instructors are trained to offer multiple modifications tailored to your individual needs.

All bodies are different and pole is for all bodies.

In Your First Class

No one walks into their first class ready to flip upside down or perform aerial tricks. Those things take time and preparation, and we will never ask you to do anything that we don’t think you are able to accomplish safely. Your first few classes will focus on building a strong foundation and connection to your body, including balance work, core strength, shoulder strength, and spacial awareness. You will learn each segment of the pole climb: Pole Squat, Carousel Kick, and Pole Mount. We will then practice pole sits, fan kicks, and step-around spins. Each of these will prepare you for higher level trick and dance classes!

What to Bring

You will want to bring a water bottle, a yoga mat if you prefer to bring your own (we have mats for you to use), and a small snack to eat afterwards!

What to Wear

You will need tight fitting shorts, a tank top, and layers to warm up in. We will be barefoot in Intro to Pole.

We also have a full pole wear boutique complete with shorts, bras, tank tops, kneepads, and heels!
